Leo's Yurt Design

Things I changed were:

• I used nylon rachet rivets instead of nuts and bolts to assemble the latice
• I used ripped 2x4's for rafters
• I used a single 20' x 40' piece of canvas which I cut (20x20,20x6.6,20x6.6,20x6.6) for the walls and sides
• I used Liquid Nails to glue the canvas edges rather than trying to sew anything
• my door frame is re-enforced 2x4s
• I used lots of eye screws and nylon cable ties

You need all of your 9th grade geometry when doing the calculations for the height and width of the walls. The cool thing able the yurt design is that you do not have to be that accurate. The yurt adjusts quite a bit. If the circle is a little bigger the walls are a little lower - there is a fair amount of play in the system.
