Relaxing on the ferry I almost didn't make. I should have made a reservation, it was completely booked, but I got on standby. I had to wait around for over an hour and didn't get much time to look around for an Internet connection.
The security at the dock was pretty funny , they were doing the whole airport thing. They were checking bags and putting the metal detector over 80 year old guys while I'm walking in and out freely. No guns, large knives or explosives. Is Wisconsin in another country? Or is the concern hijacking? "Take this ship to Cuba." Maybe they just don't want shoot outs between all the motorcycle dudes on board.
Anyway pulling out of the bay was beautiful. It's a great day. Almost no clouds. When we hit the open lake the engine blew out a huge cloud of black smoke and really kicked into gear. This boat covers the 88 miles in about 2 hours.
